In this passage, Jesus doesn't hide what the costs of following him are. He requires your full allegiance and first place on your priority, and if he can't have that, then you can't have him. Too many people have bought into an "easy believeism" that is actually keeping them out of the kingdom of God. May the Lord gives us eyes to see and ears to hear!
